REVIEW OF COMMISSION RATES
Earlier this week the Minister of Tourism and Qld State Government announced there would be an independent review of the levels of commission fees tour desk operators charge when taking bookings on behalf of tourism operators. Ms Jarratt announced the review will commence in mid-January 2012 with an issues paper to be released in March 2012.
The varying rates of commission can disadvantage some operators so the review will ensure a level all can enjoy whilst still making an income.
