Initially launched back in May 2010 the campaign has appeared in 25 countries and translated into 17 languages and includes iconic Australian experiences such as Uluru, Sydney Harbour, Melbourne, the Great Ocean Road, the Great Barrier Reef, Kangaroo Island, The Kimberley, the Gold Coast, Tasmania and the Blue Mountains.
For operators on the Gold Coast any boost to tourism is welcomed and this next phase of advertising by Tourism Australia into China, the UK and the US should see increased visitor numbers. The latest video advert has already had huge success with TV, YouTube and website viewings into the hundred thousands. ‘As well as partnership opportunities, the national tourism agency is offering Australian operators a range of marketing tools to align existing marketing activities with the campaign... A range of free tools and resources will be available to operators from 1 July, including campaign logos, screensavers, digital postcards, a content widget, newsletters and access to an image gallery of images and footage.’
HiRUM owners can also compliment this marketing campaign with their own letters or flyers to past guests straight out of their HiRUM property management software guest history. Those using social media tools are also offered the chance to promote their tourism business or region using the Tourism Australia’s ‘Things to Do’ section of their Facebook Page.
Building connections with past clients through your HiRUM property management software enables property owners to encourage return business. This can substantially increase revenue in quieter times and with the help of Tourism Australia it’s even easier to keep in touch.
