The Accommodation Industry Golf Club held another successful golf day on the 5th September at Arundel Hills Golf Club. The Gold Coast laid on the weather again with bright sunshine and warm temperatures. More than 120 players enjoyed a fantastic day of on the course networking.
This was a 4- player wine skins competition, with 4 bottles of wine to be won on every hole, all donated by Bartercard. In the end, there were 9 holes with no winners. The committee collected the cards of all the teams which hadn’t won, and spread the prizes around.
In addition, a host of accommodation industry sponsors offered up a great selection of prizes on their individually sponsored holes, which were hotly contested by the players.Lisa Batey and Rob Tayler were there, manning HiRUM’s closest to the pin chipping contest. With free donuts on offer, and a carton of Corona to present to the winner, this was a great way for the contestants to start the day.
The winner of the chipping competition was Bruce Thompson. This is the 3rd event in the series, with the final event due to be held on Friday 29th November at Lakelands Golf Course.
Every round has seen some fabulous prizes won and some very happy competitors. Prizes have included day trip cruises to McLaren Landing on South Stradbroke Island, gift boxes, gift vouchers, and of course a few alcoholic refreshments to celebrate your success!
Major series sponsors have included Mahoney Lawyers, Bartercard, Rochele Painting, NAB, Watt Utilities and Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle. Bartercard have offered the opportunity for all players competing in the Series to win a trip for two to Fiji. The prize is valued at over $3000. To be eligible you must participate in a minimum of three rounds in the series.
Staff from HiRUM have thoroughly enjoyed participating in these events, and we look forward to the next event at Lakelands. Fingers crossed for another perfect day in Paradise on the Gold Coast.
