Quickbeds is presently upgrading security in line with mandatory changes required to comply with PCIDSS. In particular, Quickbeds are changing the way they store and update passwords to ensure a higher level of protection.

What is PCIDSS? The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a widely accepted set of policies and procedures intended to maximise the security of credit, debit and cash card transactions and protect cardholders against misuse of their personal information. As part of protecting customer information, Quickbeds requires changes to comply with these standards, in particular around the security of system passwords.

What does this means for Hotels? In the coming months, your Quickbeds / Flight Centre Travel Group connection password will need to be changed to contain at least 8 characters as a minimum, also including at least one capital letter, a number and a special character. For example London1$ or Pacific4*. Hotels will be asked to change their password and we have asked they update their nominated channel manager with these new details.

Important dates for Quickbeds users:

– 21/05/2015 hotels will be able to make password changes using existing login details.
– 11/06/2015 hotels will be forced to change their password to match the new criteria.

Please remember to also update your new Quickbeds password within HiSITE Channel Manager to avoid connection issues. Please monitor your Quickbeds.com connection over this time to prevent overbookings.

If you have any questions regarding this change please contact Quickbeds via hotelsupport@quickbeds.com.
