We know you work incredibly hard, day-in, day-out to provide the best service and experiences to your guests as they enjoy their time off. But when was the last time you took a holiday yourself, particularly over end of month?
If you can’t answer that question because it was such a long time ago, perhaps it’s time to take a break and re-charge your batteries. Go on, treat yourself, you deserve it!

END OF MONTH HINTS AND TIPS
- Standard Monthly Charges cannot be duplicated
- Make sure all direct deposits to the account are receipted as you see them paid into the account
- Make sure the cross referencer is in balance before you commence
- If there have been any changes of ownership during the month make sure the expenses have been posted to the correct owner (date transactions 1st of the month to charge the old owner & the last day of the month to charge the new owner)
- If you don’t use a cheque book, use chq 1 or use the next cheque number when generating your cheques (cheques should be generated multiple times throughout the month)
- Preview the owners statements and make any necessary adjustments and then generate the cheques again
- Always make sure the cheques to owner/manager & third parties agree to the monthly summary before finalising end of month
- When creating the ABA file, rename the file so that you are producing a new file for each month and prior to sending the file ensure that the total on the aba file equals the modem total on the cheques issued report
- When doing the end of month rollover, do not close out of HiRUM prior to it finishing. If you think there were any problems during the rollover process please contact HiRUM support to ensure that everything has come across properly
